Sprice Drury grew up in a small beach town in Long Island, NY.
In close proximity to Manhattan, Sprice knew where she was headed and graduated with honors in Interior Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Sprice studied Art History at Barnard College, additional Design at Parsons Institute, and Architecture at CCNY.
Sprice designed offices in NYC, built models of homes on Malibu Beach, and designed the interiors of private jets. Sprice then entered the world of Film and Television, where she worked as a Director's Assistant, Line Producer, and Set Designer.
Sprice traveled the world for 6 years working in Live Broadcast TV in countries such as India, Nepal, China, Australia, Japan, Africa, Europe, the U.K., Canada, Mexico and the USA.
Sprice's travels allowed her to meet many people over a broad cultural spectrum. The experience was shocking as Sprice could see first hand how so many people were hungry and still lived in extreme poverty. This experience changed Sprice's life forever.
Sprice now supports an International disaster relief foundation that gives aid to people as needed. This foundation has set up food banks for needy and hungry children in Nepal, Ghana, and the Australian outback. It also runs an eye clinic in India.
Years later, after her husband's unexpected illness, Sprice found herself alone, penniless, and hungry herself. Sprice laughs as she tells us that she was eating saltine crackers and butter while living in a 5000 sq ft home.
Sprice had to reach for that strength that lies within just to survive. Sprice is now dedicated to telling her story so that other women know there is always hope.
One of Sprice's favorite quotes is "I Believe" by David Imonitie Jr.
